Community Capacity Building

You build power. We help organize, plan, and win. This program grows resident leadership, strengthens councils, and turns ideas into action across Greater West Savannah and the Yamacraw Corridor.

• Current and former Yamacraw Village residents.
• West Savannah, Carver Village, Ogeecheeton-Dawes, Cuyler Brownsville, Rossignol Hill, Frazier Homes and other historically Black neighborhoods in Greater West Savannah.
• Faith partners, schools, youth groups, elders, caregivers.

• 1,000 people in the 1000+ Voices network.
• Four active Resident Councils with quarterly meetings.
• Case management system  for current Yamacraw residents who are displaced.
• Ten Point Plan adopted and public.
• Resilience Fund seeded and first grants disbursed.
• Two policy wins on right of return and displacement safeguards.

• Listen first, set simple goals with clear owners.
• Train leaders, then practice in real meetings and events.
• Track results in the open, share what works and what does not.
• Protect resident data, use consent and secure storage.
