The I.W. Cheever Vision Foundation is named in honor of Reverend Idell Williams Cheever a faith-driven leader, family advocate, and visionary woman whose legacy lives on through the people and communities she served.
Rev. Cheever served with grace and strength as shepherd of the Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Ministries. She understood that faith without action was incomplete. Her ministry was not just from the pulpit but from the pavement — showing up for the sick, the unhoused, and the unheard.
Rev. Cheever championed the rights of families, stood firm in the face of injustice, and poured her wisdom into generations of leaders across Savannah and beyond.
The Foundation that bears her name is committed to:
Her legacy challenges us to build with love, act with integrity, and never forget who we’re accountable to — the people.
“God's plan is a family plan”
— Rev. I.W. Cheever
Through every resident council we support, every child we mentor, every block we rebuild — we carry her vision forward.
